Highlight Videos

Project Overview

These videos were part of my sports media class. I was tasked with going to various Indiana University sporting events to make highlight reels for the games. The first assignment was to make short-form videos that could be posted on Instagram to promote the team. The second assignment was to make a video recap of the event. The final assignment was to create a long-form recap of the game.

My Contributions

I was entirely in charge of capturing the game and editing the footage. I created subclips of the footage I received and sorted through it to find what would work the best for the projects.

This video was a thirty second highlight reel of an IU baseball game. I mainly focused on the interesting outs I captured.

This video was one of the shorter promotional videos I produced for my class. The woman cheering is one of the player's mothers who was the main source of crowd engagement. I intercut the cheer with players hitting the ball to bring an extra layer to the video.

This video was a play on the subtle foreshadowing trend. It features an IU senior hitting a homerun cut between clips of her celebrating with the team.

This video included cut clips of the game with the announcer welcoming the team.

This is the long-form highlight video I produces which was a recap of an IU softball game.
